If you've been reading me for over a year, you may probably remember this nifty little website that TH and I put together. Although I don't talk about The Recipe Diary much, its very much active with new, awesome recipes getting added on every day.
I get quite a few pings and emails asking me for non vegetarian / chicken / mutton / fish biryani recipes. I don't cook non vegetarian food anymore but that shouldn't come in the way because The Recipe Diary definitely has a good collection of non veg biryani recipes that are tried and tasted and uploaded by expert cooks.
Here are the top 5 non vegetarian biryani recipes from the site.
1. Thalapakattu Biryani by Jay
2. Chicken Biryani by Prasu
3. Ambur Mutton Biriyani by Ashwini

If you feel you have a great non vegetarian biryani recipe to contribute, even if its on the list above because we all have our own versions, please enter your recipe on this page and let me know you did.
Also, if you try any of the above recipes, do leave a word here, I am sure the contributors would love to hear your feedback :)

Thai Fried Rice Recipe
I try recipes from The Recipe Diary on and off because, really, there are some awesome submissions in there. This was one such recipe that I bookmarked as soon as I saw it and realised there's a reason why people have rated it excellent.
I have made this twice already with every intention to make it again when we have company. Its a great recipe you can use to show off because its not a run-of-the-mill ordinary fried rice recipe that I usually use. Thanks Sree, for a lovely recipe that's surely a keeper.

Presenting - The Recipe Diary

The Recipe Diary is the product of some heated discussions and arguments between me and The Husband (TH).
Every weekend we used to turn to the many recipe blogs and websites out there to search for a dish we can make using the ingredients we had in the kitchen. We had to do exhaustive searches online to find the recipe which met our requirements. Obviously, we were too lazy to walk to the store on a Sunday morning for groceries! This made us think how useful it would be if, instead of searching for names of dishes and being unsure of what ingredients are needed, we could just key in the ingredients we have and get a list of dishes we can make! And that's what led to the conception of "The Recipe Diary," which we hope in time will do exactly what we mentioned and make your life in the kitchen easier!
We hope to make this an exhaustive database of Indian Recipes, easily searchable so that the common bachelor, busy housewives, working men/women or just anybody who wants to whip up a quick dish, can find it here. We've added a friendly search form to help you with just that!
We think this database can grow only with your valuable contributions, so do keep them coming. There will be occasional contests and giveaways to get things heated up in The Recipe Diary kitchen so watch out for that too.
Note to all the participants of The Recipe Diary Contest.
Your submissions have been added to our spanking new website and is now searchable to anyone who is looking for good Indian recipes. The recipe will have your picture, your name and a link to your website so that you too get some link love from us :)
We would also really appreciate it if you can give us a teeny bit of space in your blog's / site's sidebar and link to us using the following logo. You would earn our eternal gratitude for it. You would also be the first to know about future contests and giveaways that we will be hosting in the new site and as much traffic as we can can send your way. Hope you can handle all this love! :D
We'll be adding lip smacking recipes reguarly and working on the overall look and usability of the website, but it's ultimately you guys who will make this database a success. Please do send us your thoughts, suggestions, critcism and we'll do our best to improve on them!
